The Strength of a Pansy

The tenacity of this little volunteer pansy is amazing.

After the recent rains cleared away all the snow, my little purple and yellow friend was still managing to produce green leaves and purple flowers. We have had below zero temperatures for weeks and feet of snow but underneath all that the pansy kept on flowering. Despite and under all that adversity, growth. A lesson for strength of character. What does the Proverb say? "If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small".

That little glimpse of pansy brought me joy the last couple of days. But it went back to sleep last night under a new blanket of falling snow and temperatures.

Obviously, when someone says, "don't be such a pansy!" -they have no idea what they're talking about!!
